AR DICOM Viewer for Apple Vision Pro, iPad, and iPhone

Overview

VoxelVision is a spatial medical image viewing tool designed for personal exploration, education, and research purposes. It supports CT, MR, PET, and NM modalities. It is not a medical device and is not intended for clinical diagnosis. All imaging data is processed and displayed locally in read-only mode for visualization.

In short: VoxelVision does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. All data stays on your device.

Compliance Statement

The design of this software follows the relevant principles of the following standards and regulations:

Subject Data Protection

Imported DICOM imaging data is processed and stored entirely on the local device and is never uploaded to any server or cloud service. This software does not collect, transmit, or share any DICOM subject information, including name, subject ID, date of birth, or other protected health information (PHI).

User Data Protection

This software does not collect, store, or transmit any personal user information or device identifiers. The app does not use analytics, tracking, advertising frameworks, or any third-party data collection services.

Runtime Logs

VoxelVision includes built-in runtime logs for troubleshooting purposes. These logs do not contain any DICOM protected health information (PHI) or user privacy data. You can view and export log content on the in-app "Logs & Feedback" page. Exported logs are saved to the VoxelVision folder in the Files app for you to review before sharing.

In-App Purchases

VoxelVision offers optional in-app purchases processed entirely through Apple's App Store infrastructure. The developer does not have access to your payment information.

World Sensing

VoxelVision uses Apple's spatial tracking technologies (ARKit on iPad and iPhone; visionOS world tracking on Apple Vision Pro) in immersive mode to position and orient 3D medical visualizations in your physical space. World sensing data is processed on-device by the operating system and is not accessed, stored, or transmitted by VoxelVision.

Third-Party Services

VoxelVision does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The app operates entirely offline with no network communication.

Sample Data Acknowledgement

Sample images (CT, MR, and PET) are included with VoxelVision and automatically installed when the app is downloaded from the App Store. You can keep them, or delete them at any time. To reload the sample images after deletion, delete the app and reinstall from the App Store. Completed in-app purchases can be restored on the Settings page after reinstallation.

The sample images included in this app are sourced from The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) and are publicly available de-identified data containing no personally identifiable information. Full citations are available on the Acknowledgements page.

Data Collection

VoxelVision does not collect any data from its users. The app is suitable for users of all ages. No information is gathered, stored, or shared with any party.

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of VoxelVision after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
