LightPad collects nothing.
Effective 2026-08-24 · Applies to LightPad: Tracing Light Box for iOS
Summary
LightPad does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data — or any data at all. The app is fully offline: it contains no networking code, makes no network requests, and never connects to any server.
Data collection
None. LightPad has no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. There is no account system and nothing to sign in to.
Permissions
LightPad requests no system permissions — no camera, no photo library, no location, no microphone, no notifications. It never asks, because it never needs them.
Settings stored on your device
Your preferences (color temperature, grid and crosshair options, line width) are saved locally on your device using the system's standard app storage, so they are remembered between sessions. They never leave the device.
Screen brightness
While LightPad is active, moving the brightness slider adjusts your device's screen brightness so the light surface can reach the panel's full output. When you leave the app, your previous brightness is restored. This happens entirely on the device; no brightness information is recorded or transmitted.
Children
Because LightPad collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of LightPad ever changes any of the above, this page will be updated before that version ships, with the effective date revised.
